A SUICIDAL skydiver sent a video to his wife just moments before he leapt to his DEATH.

Capotorto Vitantonio recorded a message to his missus telling her he wasn’t going to pull the cord on his parachute when he jumped from the plane.

His distraught wife, Costansa Litellini, ran into the skydive centre in Florida and begged them to stop her 27-year-old husband from making the jump.

The dispatchers made an urgent call to the plane’s crew to stop Vitantonio from leaping, however they were moments too late as he had already exited the aircraft.

Skydive DeLand employee Tara Richards told Costansa that she had seen her husband before the flight and described his behaviour HAPPIER TIMES: Capotorto Vitantonio and wife Costansa as ‘normal’.

But Litellini, 25, had just received a video from him, saying he was ‘not going to pull the cord and that he was going somewhere wonderful’.

Police were called to the scene and launched a search, from the air and on the ground, for Vitantonio’s body.

The experienced skydiver, who had completed more than 600 jumps, was later discovered lying face down in a field and was pronounced dead.

Mike Johnson, Sky Dive DeLand’s general manager, said: “We give our customers a safe ride to altitude and we transport them using aircraft that has been considered the best maintained in the industry.

“When a person steps out the door, they are responsible for themselves.”
