‘Bitchy’ Louis in ‘fat’ Girls Aloud storm

BITCHY Louis Walsh reck­ons that stun­ning Girls Aloud were FAT, it was sen­sa­tion­ally claimed last week.

For­mer band mem­ber Kim­ber­ley Walsh said The X Fac­tor judge once ap­plauded the band for be­ing “not fat any­more” when they came to record their video for 2004 hit Love Ma­chine.

The 35-year-old mum said: “Louis Walsh waltzed in and said to us, ‘Oh, none of you are fat any more! Bril­liant’.

“He ob­vi­ously did have an is­sue with some of our sizes.”

She also sug­gested that the 64-year-old Ir­ish­man’s in-stu­dio re­marks were in­flu­enced by crit­i­cism lev­elled at Nigel Lyth­goe when he pub­licly told singer and ac­tress Kym Marsh on ITV tal­ent show Pop­stars that she needed to lose weight.

Girls Aloud formed on Pop­stars: The Ri­vals the fol­low­ing year.
