Driver charged over fatal teen cyclist collision
A MAN has been charged with causing the death of a 15-year-old cyclist by dangerous driving.
Dylan Crossey (above) suffered serious head injuries in a collision with a car in Whitestake, near Preston, Lancashire.
The teenager was taken from the scene to Royal Preston Hospital, where he later died.
David Harwood, 42, of New Longton, Lancashire, was charged with causing death by dangerous driving and two offences of driving a motor vehicle dangerously.
He was bailed to appear at Preston Magistrates’ Court on August 24.
Following his death, Dylan’s family said he was “a much-loved son and brother who loved nothing more than living life to its fullest” and added he was “growing into a fine young man”.
The keen Preston North End fan was also described as a talented footballer who regularly turned out for a local team.
