Lemmy lives as a Juras­sic croc

IN life he was big, ugly and full of at­ti­tude – so it’s no won­der sci­en­tists chose to name a fe­ro­cious Juras­sic croc­o­dile af­ter the late rocker Lemmy.

Like the hell-rais­ing Mo­tor­head front­man, who died in 2015, the 19ft

was a beast which lived in coastal wa­ters around the UK more than 145mil­lion years ago.

A fos­sil of one found in 1909 had been wrongly clas­si­fied and was re­named by the Nat­u­ral His­tory Mu­seum’s cu­ra­tor, Mo­tor­head fan Lorna Steel.
