Lemmy lives as a Jurassic croc
IN life he was big, ugly and full of attitude – so it’s no wonder scientists chose to name a ferocious Jurassic crocodile after the late rocker Lemmy.
Like the hell-raising Motorhead frontman, who died in 2015, the 19ft
was a beast which lived in coastal waters around the UK more than 145million years ago.
A fossil of one found in 1909 had been wrongly classified and was renamed by the Natural History Museum’s curator, Motorhead fan Lorna Steel.
