TWILIGHT actor Robert Pattinson has admitted to being a CRIMINAL after spending hundreds of FAKE dollars.

The 31-year-old stars in bank robbery film Good Time but failed to get out of character off-set and ended up using “pretend” movie money during spending sprees in America.

Co-director Josh Safdie said that Robert “was so obsessed with being in character all the time he would go on walks in costume”.

But his dedication to the film backfired when he walked off-set carrying a bag full of counterfeit dollars.

Josh added: “He came and said, ‘I think I committed a federal crime. I’m sure I spent a few hundred counterfeit dollars’.”

Counterfeiting in the US is investigated by the Secret Service and it remains to be seen whether they will quiz the hunky heart-throb.

Robert plays bank robber Connie Nikas in the new gritty crime drama – set for a November release – who battles to get his brother out of jail. THE doctor who administered enemas to ancient Egyptian pharaohs was known as the ‘shepherd of the royal anus’
