Louis: Booz­ing is worse than smok­ing weed

DOC­U­MEN­TARY maker Louis Th­er­oux says he wants to make weed LE­GAL and claims it’s no worse than al­co­hol.

Louis, 47 ( above), who is fa­mous for his doc­u­men­taries on celebs and global is­sues, said: “I used to smoke at par­ties, I’ve had a spliff. I’m in favour of le­gal­is­ing mar­i­juana. It’s a more be­nign drug than al­co­hol.

“They say it’s a gate­way drug, but if it was le­gal it would mark the boundary more clearly about where ex­per­i­men­ta­tion should stop.”

BBC film­maker Louis has pre­vi­ously made doc­u­men­taries about al­co­holism as well as crys­tal meth ad­dicts.

How­ever, one of the episodes from his latest se­ries, Dark States, fo­cuses on the heroin epi­demic grip­ping Amer­ica.

His new three-part se­ries also ex­plores the gun cap­i­tal of Amer­ica, Mil­wau­kee, and an­other episode shines a light on pros­ti­tutes and their pimps in the US.
