SUSANNA REID’S SCHOOL IN SEX ABUSE PROBE
OLD GIRL: TV star went to St Paul’s SUSANNA Reid and Rachel Weisz’s former girls’ school has been hit by historic sex abuse claims sparked by Hollywood’s #MeToo social media campaign.
St Paul’s Girls’ School, in Hammersmith, West London, has been contacted by at least two former pupils who claim they were sexually abused between the 1970s and 1990s.
The £24,000-a-year school’s High Mistress, Sarah Fletcher, has warned former pupils to identify people who are responsible for abuse.
Former pupils – called Old Paulinas – include Margaret Thatcher’s daughter, Carol, as well as Good Morning Britain host Susanna Reid and actress Rachel Weisz.
There is no suggestion any of those three suffered abuse during their time at the school.
In a letter to former students at the school, Sarah Fletcher wrote: “They [former pupils] have told us of past sexual abuse at St Paul’s.
“Two wrote from personal experience, others about what they had heard from friends.
“The allegations relate to a period spanning from the 1970s to 1990s.
“We immediately passed the information on to the relevant authorities and we remain in close contact with them.”
A spokeswoman for the school said: “We can confirm that the School recently received some OLD GIRL: Rachel Weisz allegations abuse.
“While these refer to events in the 1970s and 1990s, we take any information of this nature extremely seriously and have passed all the details immediately to the relevant authorities, with whom we remain in close contact.” of past
