Hor­ror wood­chip death shocks cops

A HAP­LESS handy­man has been killed af­ter he ac­ci­den­tally fell into a WOODCHIPPER.

The 54-year-old, from Queens­land, Aus­tralia, was clear­ing the drive­way of a home in Gympie, north of Bris­bane, when the in­ci­dent oc­curred.

He was with two pals on Sun­day night, help­ing a neigh­bour to clear their drive, but fell into the chip­per and died.

A po­lice spokesman said: “It’s an hor­ren­dous thing to have to at­tend as a po­lice of­fi­cer – any sud­den death – but these cir­cum­stances were ab­so­lutely shock­ing.

“Ev­ery­one’s ob­vi­ously very dis­tressed and we’re still try­ing to work out the cir­cum­stances as to who has seen what.”

Ac­cord­ing to po­lice, the man died in­stantly and his death is cur­rently be­ing treated as an ac­ci­dent.
