Ter­ror charge man in court

A MAN has ap­peared in court ac­cused of plan­ning a ter­ror at­tack.

Steven Bishop, 40, of Croy­don, south Lon­don, faces one charge of en­gag­ing in con­duct in prepa­ra­tion for giv­ing ef­fect to an in­ten­tion to com­mit acts of ter­ror­ism.

A sec­ond charge ac­cuses him of mak­ing a record of in­for­ma­tion of a kind likely to be of use to a per­son com­mit­ting or pre­par­ing an act of ter­ror­ism.

His lawyer, Tim Forte, in­di­cated at Westminster Mag­is­trates’ Court that not guilty pleas will be made to both charges and made no ap­pli­ca­tion for bail.

Mr Bishop’s next court ap­pear­ance will be at the Old Bai­ley on Novem­ber 23.
