Selfie woman’s Grand Canyon death plunge
A WOMAN hiking in the Grand Canyon stepped back to snap the perfect selfie – and plunged to her death off a cliff edge.
Maria Salgado Lopez, 59, fell 100 feet from the edge of Mather Point, a famous vantage point at the Arizona spectacle, according to the Grand Canyon Regional Communications Center.
She had been hiking off-trail and taking snapshots with family when tragedy struck.
