A TEENAGER was taken to hospital after being knocked off his bike in Birkdale.
The 14-year-old boy spent the night in hospital as a precaution following the crash which happened last Tuesday evening (August 15).
He was not believed to have suffered major injury, but instead was being monitored for potential concussion.
According to Merseyside Police, the driver of the car, a Ford C-Max, will be interviewed under caution this week.
A police spokesman said: “We were called just before 6pm on Tuesday to a report of a collision between a cyclist and a Ford C-max on the junction of Kew Road and Eastbourne Road.
“It was a low speed collision but the cyclist, a boy aged 14, was taken to hospital and kept in overnight as a precaution.
“The car stopped to assist and the driver is going to be interviewed under caution at a later date.”
