BOWERSDALE Park in Seaforth attracted more than 300 people when the Friends of Bowersdale Park community group hosted their annual family fun day.

The event featured live music, bouncy castles, fairground rides, assault course, face paints, tombolas, hooka-duck, information and advice stalls and much more.

Jo Nelson from Friends of Bowersdale Park, said: “We had an amazing turnout to what was a fantastic day for Seaforth residents.

“The main aim of the day was to provide fun and entertainment for all so we made sure that there was plenty on offer.” With the washout of a summer that we’ve had so far, it was feared that the August showers would continue. However, the sun came out for parts of the day and children were able to make the most of the fun while parents visited the information stalls or relaxed on the green. Jo added: “Everybody that we spoke to on the day said they were having a great time and they were so pleased and grateful to have an amazing free event like this so close to home. “We’re very happy that everyone had such a good time.”
