Go Purple & Green for Queenscourt
GET ready to see a splash of colour and a wave of positivity this Friday, October 13, with Go Purple & Green, a colour awareness day for local charity, Queenscourt Hospice.
For one day don your purple T-shirt, pull up your green socks, maybe a swish of purple eyeshadow or even top it off with a green wig if you’re brave.
Round up your colleagues, especially the boss!
Get your classmates involved, which class can raise the most?
Or simply gather your friends for a bit of fun.
Lucy Smith, community fundraiser for Queenscourt, explains: “It’s a simple, colourful way to have a bit of fun with fundraising and bring everyone together for a very special local cause.
“We’d really love to see our whole community joining us in flying Queenscourt’s colours.”
So join in and let your creativity flow… show off your baking prowess with purple and green cakes for people to donate to enjoy, maybe a selfie station in the office or even set up a nail bar for fabulous colour co-ordinating nails!
Lucy added “We’re definitely looking forward to it here in the office, it was such a funny day last year!
“We’re spreading positive vibes with Friday the 13th as our official day, but of course you can choose a date that works for you.
“If everyone joins us and embraces Queenscourt’s colours for just a small donation each, we can make a great big difference together.”
On average Queenscourt touches the lives of 750 families each year and sadly the need for their services is growing.
However you join in, every single penny raised will help Queenscourt to give a special kind of care to patients and families in Southport, Formby and West Lancashire.
