Ex­tra-time mis­ery for the Bucks as they are knocked out of FA Vase

Stock­ton Town 4 Boo­tle 2 BOO­TLE bowed out of the FA Vase at the sec­ond-round stage af­ter suf­fer­ing an ex­tra-time de­feat at Stock­ton Town.

Joe Carter put the hosts ahead af­ter 10 min­utes, but Bucks cap­tain Liam Lough­lin re­stored par­ity four min­utes later with a thun­der­ous strike from 30 yards.

Six min­utes later, and Joe Do­ran and Phil Stafford’s side turned the game on its head when Ste Milne con­verted a penalty af­ter he had been brought down inside the box.

But with 14 min­utes re­main­ing, the hosts sent the tie to ex­tra-time af­ter Max Craggs curled in a free-kick.

Jamie Owens then put the Yel­lows ahead five min­utes into ex­tra-time be­fore Craggs curled in an­other free-kick to con­demn the Bucks to their sec­ond straight de­feat.

Boo­tle re­turn to the ‘bread and but­ter’ of the Hall­mark Se­cu­rity League Pre­mier Di­vi­sion tonight when they play host to Ash­ton Ath­letic at the TDP Solic­i­tors Sta­dium. This evening’s match kicks-off
