Community Link Foundation
CSefton Opera (Older Persons Enabling Resource and Action) provide health and wellbeing activities for older people all around Sefton. They have been successful in their grant for funding for a swimming instructor to hold beginners’ lessons and confidence building sessions for the over-50s in Southport.
A grant has also been donated to an Ainsdale teenager who has Becker muscular dystrophy.
The money will help buy an electric bike so that he can spend time outdoors with his friends and family.
Home-Start Southport and Formby applied for a grant towards the rental of a hall where they can hold meetings for isolated families.
The meetings are for families of children with disabilities, refugees and people with depression and poor mental health to help them feel safe and reassured.
St Lukes CE Primary School also applied for funding which was approved.
