WWI film screen­ing at church

A SOUTH­PORT church will hold a free screen­ing of the film Jour­ney’s End as part of its WWI mul­ti­me­dia com­mem­o­ra­tion.

Set in a dugout in Aisne in 1918, the film, re­leased this year, tells the story of a group of Bri­tish of­fi­cers led by the men­tally dis­in­te­grat­ing young of­fi­cer Stan­hope, as they await their fate.

The cert 12A film will be shown at Holy Trin­ity Church on Hoghton Street, South­port, on Fri­day, Novem­ber 9 at 7.30pm.

En­try is free and book­ing is not re­quired.
