FORMBY Squir­rels Ro­tary Club have held an­other ex­tremely suc­cess­ful Ceilidhi where 80 guests danced the night away to the very pop­u­lar Gal­li­maufry band with re­fresh­ments of hot­pot and ap­ple pie.

A to­tal of £462 was raised on the night and will be shared be­tween their cho­sen char­i­ties, Bridge Inn Farm, CVS, Air Am­bu­lance NW, and Lan­cashire Wildlife Trust sav­ing Red Squir­rels.

Their next event is their fa­mous wine tast­ing evening on Novem­ber 24.

The event takes place at the Formby Lun­cheon Club with wine spe­cially cho­sen by our mem­bers to com­ple­ment your Christ­mas din­ner.

FORMBY Ro­tary are hold­ing an in­ter­est­ing World War I mu­si­cal based on the life of Bill Tasker, a Formby sol­dier, and tick­ets cost £13 with hot buf­fer.

The Bill Tasker Story takes place at Formby Hall Golf Club on Tues­day, Novem­ber 13, ar­rive 6.30 for 7pm start.
