Find out how to or­der Model Rail’s ‘J70’, Rev­o­lu­tion Trains un­veils a new ‘N’ gauge wagon project, and Ox­ford Rail moves into the property mar­ket.

Model Rail is pleased to an­nounce that the or­der book for our forth­com­ing ‘OO’ gauge LNER ‘J70’ 0‑6‑0T is now open. Rapido Trains’ engi­neers were due to fi­nalise the CAD draw­ings shortly af­ter this is­sue closed for press, but we can con­firm that the model will have the fol­low­ing spec­i­fi­ca­tion and de­tail op­tions: Core­less mo­tor Pro­vi­sion for sound Ten­sion lock cou­plers in NEM pock­ets Sprung buf­fers, with two types of buf­fer shank where ap­pli­ca­ble Buf­fer­beam safety chains, where ap­pli­ca­ble Full side­plates, with­out side­plates and with cow­catch­ers only Two dif­fer­ent styles of cen­tral lamp iron Two dif­fer­ent nose end door catch styles Re­place­ment cow­catch­ers with no cou­pling aper­ture Sep­a­rate etch for two and three-bolt end mount­ing plates Choice of opened and closed end doors, to be fit­ted by the mod­eller Full re­tail price for the ‘J70’ will be £127.50. How­ever, Model Rail sub­scribers will be able to take ad­van­tage of our 10% dis­count and can ob­tain the model for £114.75. Each liv­ery/guise will be lim­ited to 500 pieces.
