Model Rail (UK) - - OPENING THE BOX -

1. Keep it simple.

2. Don’t model what you can’t see.

3. Do whatever it takes – if it’s going to take ten windows, give it ten windows and not nine!

4. Measure twice, cut once.

5. Always work to the nearest millimetre, not the nearest ½-mil.

6. Always use the architectural ‘rule of thirds’.

7. Always ensure consistency throughout so that nothing on the layout catches the eye – either because it’s better than everything else – or because it’s worse!
