Christ­mas present

Front and back pan­els (make 2) Foun­da­tion us­ing Yarn C, ch13 Row 1 1dc in 2nd chain from the hook then in each ch across, turn [12 sts] Rows 2-10 ch1 (does not count as st), 1dc in each st across, turn [12 sts] Row 11 ch1 (does not count as st), 1dc in each st across Start­ing from the end of Row 11, work dc evenly around the panel (plac­ing 2dc in each corner) to cre­ate a clean bor­der. Ss in the first dc. Fas­ten off, leave an ex­tra-long tail for sewing. At­tach two eyes be­tween the fourth and fifth row of the front panel. Side piece Foun­da­tion us­ing Yarn C, ch6 Row 1 1dc in 2nd chain from the hook then in each ch across, turn [5 sts] Row 2 ch1 (does not count as st), 1dc in each st across, turn [5 sts] Re­peat Row 2 un­til the piece mea­sures 25cm (9 7/8 ") in length. Don’t fas­ten off the yarn in case you need to add or de­crease rows on the mid­dle panel. Rib­bon (make two) Foun­da­tion us­ing Yarn B and a 4mm hook, ch43 Change to Yarn D Row 1 ss back across your chain. Fas­ten off. Leave a tail for sewing. Bow Foun­da­tion us­ing Yarn B, ch11 Row 1 1dc in 2nd chain from the hook and 1dc in each ch across, turn [10 sts] Row 2 and 3 ch1 (does not count as st), 1dc in each st across, turn [10 sts] Row 4 ch1 (does not count as st), 1dc in each st across Fas­ten off and leave a long yarn tail mea­sur­ing 50cm (19 "). Us­ing the yarn nee­dle, bring the tail to the cen­tre of the bow. Wrap the tail around the mid­dle sev­eral times to cre­ate a bow shape, leav­ing enough yarn to at­tach the bow to the present. Fin­ish­ing Hold to­gether the front panel and side panel of the present and, start­ing at the long yarn tail, 1dc through both pieces in each stitch around, mak­ing sure to work 2dc in each corner. Re­peat with the back panel, stuff­ing as you work round. Whip stitch the side panel closed, then fas­ten off and weave in any loose ends. Wrap the rib­bons hor­i­zon­tally and ver­ti­cally around the present and stitch them both in place. At­tach the bow to the top of the present and cre­ate a loop for hang­ing, then em­broi­der the mouth in black thread at the point where the green rib­bons cross.
