01 Start by warp­ing the loom. To do this, tie the string to one end of the loom. Hook the string up around the first peg and bring it down to the next. Do this along the whole width of the loom, as shown. Tie the string to the end of the loom to se­cure.

02 To start weav­ing, use the shut­tle stick and weave it un­der and over the al­ter­nat­ing threads. Thread the nee­dle with ap­prox­i­mately 40cm (15¾") of red yarn and pull the nee­dle through the gap that’s been cre­ated, leav­ing a 3- 4cm (1¼15/ 8") yarn tail at the end. Gen­tly push the yarn down into a line us­ing the shut­tle stick. Now weave the yarn through in the op­po­site di­rec­tion, weav­ing un­der and over the threads. Re­peat this process for four rows. Thread the yarn tail into the back
