Make marks

Mother & Baby (UK) - - BABY & TODDLER -

The beach is full of different tools your youngster can use to make marks and shapes in the sand – shells and sticks, a spade handle, a feather, Daddy's flip-flop, or the bottom of her bucket. Encourage her to experiment and discover what she can create. Show her how to use her body too, and see what different shapes she can make drawing with one finger, pressing her flat hand onto the sand, dragging her toes along to make wriggly lines or pushing her knuckles or elbow into the sand.
