If your tod­dler se­ri­ously needs a snack but it’s not long ’til tea, then fruit and veg­gies will sat­isfy his hunger with­out fill­ing him up for long. Serve the snack in a way that’ll keep him busy and dis­tract him from his hunger, too. For ex­am­ple, you could give him a lit­tle pot of frozen peas that’ll take an age to pick up, one by one. Or give him a ripe ba­nana and a non-sharp knife on a chop­ping board.
