RALLY ISLE OF MAN CLASSICAGH
Any rally on the Isle of Man, we want to watch. The tight asphalt roads, high speeds and unpredictable weather make it a must-see event in any format. It was difficult to choose a single event from the three-legged island, but we fell on the Rally Isle of Man Classicagh. The event supports the British Rally Championship decider, so it’s a two-pronged assault of rallying fever.
The Classicagh attracted entries from all over the world last year, and the historic event is a great opportunity to see an assemblage of historic cars from the usual Ford Escort Mk2s to 1960s Minis.
This year’s rally is a double-header, with the Mintex MSA British Historic Rally Championship joined by the new-for-2016 RAC Historic Asphalt Championship. With cars from up to the end of 1990 eligible, we should see some Ford Sierras and BMW M3s in attendance too.
