Plum Pud­ding Sport­ing Trial

By Mar­tyn Hal­l­i­day Or­gan­iser: 750 Mo­tor Club When: De­cem­ber 28 Where: Head Down, near Bu­ri­ton, Hamp­shire There were two tri­als tak­ing place at the same time at Head Down af­ter Christ­mas: the Plum Pud­ding Trial for mod­ern tri­als cars and the His­toric Plum Pud­ding Trial. Six sec­tions had been set out on the side of a hill in forestry ground that forms part of the South Downs.

On the fi­nal lap scores rose but, in the end, Mark Howse and Steve Courts tied in the Mod­ern class on five marks each. Howse took the tro­phy hav­ing had 15 clean runs to Courts’ 14.

In the His­toric class bat­tle, Ian Wright pre­vailed over Monty Pe­ters by one mark.
