Jack Har­vey is still aim­ing to seal an Indycar drive for 2016 de­spite miss­ing out on the Sch­midt Peter­son Mo­tor­sports seat that went to Mikhail Aleshin. The Bri­ton, who has fin­ished run­ner-up in Indy Lights for the last two years, is in talks with Bryan Herta Au­tosport and Dale Coyne Rac­ing. Har­vey said that if a deal doesn’t ma­te­ri­alise he could make the switch to sportscars… Bri­tish sportscar driver Johnny Mowlem will con­test the full IMSA Sportscar Cham­pi­onship sea­son this year in the Pro­to­type Chal­lenge class. He will share a BAR1 Mo­tor­sports Oreca-chevro­let FLM09 with Matt Mcmurry… Toy­ota’s new TSO50 HY­BRID World En­durance Cham­pi­onship car ran for the first time at Aragon last week. The new LMP1 ma­chine’s first run “went well” ac­cord­ing to a Toy­ota spokesman, but no fur­ther in­for­ma­tion was given. The full tech­ni­cal de­tails for the new car will not be re­leased un­til a for­mal launch in March… For­mer Brab­ham For­mula 1 de­signer Ser­gio Rin­land has be­come a tech­ni­cal ad­vi­sor to the pro­ject to re­vive the team. Rin­land re­placed Gor­don Mur­ray as the team’s chief de­signer in 1986 and will now as­sist with the plan for Pro­ject Brab­ham to race in sportscars…
