En­try boom for Fu­ture Clas­sics

The Clas­sic Sports Car Club is split­ting its Fu­ture Clas­sic se­ries into classes for 1970s and 1980s cars to cater for grow­ing de­mand.

With 100 cars reg­is­tered last year, the club is hop­ing to build to­wards split grids, pos­si­bly as early as this sea­son if sup­port is strong.

“The cut-off date is 1990 and it is for pro­duc­tion cars on treaded tyres,” said the CSCC’S Hugo Holder. “There is cer­tainly po­ten­tial to split the races into two grids.”

The club’s 2016 sched­ule in­cludes a first visit to Thrux­ton (Au­gust 13/14), which will be cov­ered in three hour-long pro­grammes on Mo­tors TV.
