Fit­ti­paldi name re­turns to the UK as Enzo joins Ginetta Ju­nior class

The grand­son of dou­ble For­mula 1 cham­pion Emerson Fit­ti­paldi will com­pete in Ginetta Ju­niors this year.

Enzo Fit­ti­paldi, 14, was a fi­nal­ist in the Ginetta Ju­nior Schol­ar­ship last year and will now make the step up from kart­ing into cars. He has won nu­mer­ous kart­ing races in the USA and was se­cond in the Ro­tax Grand Na­tional Cham­pi­onship in 2013.

Fit­ti­paldi will part­ner Ginetta Ju­nior Win­ter Se­ries cham­pion Stu­art Mid­dle­ton at Dou­glas Mo­tor­sport.

“Switch­ing from karts into cars will be a chal­lenge,” said Fit­ti­paldi. “Ginetta Ju­nior al­lows young driv­ers like my­self to fa­mil­iarise with all of the UK’S tracks, while also be­ing a highly com­pet­i­tive and well-tele­vised se­ries.”

Fit­ti­paldi’s brother Pi­etro has also raced in the UK, se­cur­ing the For­mula Re­nault BARC ti­tle in 2014. He also won the MRF Chal­lenge last week­end.
