Harper enters his 53rd race season
John Harper, one of Britain’s most experienced historic racing drivers, will race regularly again in 2016, his 53rd season of racing.
Harper has just finished building a Jaguar E-type and will contest this year’s Jaguar Heritage Challenge.
“In 2015 I only did one race and the year before I only did three races,” said Harper who lived in France for eight years until 2012. “I’ll be 77 when the season starts and so I’m not going to bother with single-seaters anymore.”
Harper has been racing since 1963 and has raced just about every type of historic car over the last six decades. He is now based in Broadway in Worcestershire.
