New ini­tia­tive to sup­port Ir­ish rac­ing tal­ent

A new ini­tia­tive has been launched by Mo­tor­sport Ire­land to help sup­port young Ir­ish driv­ers.

The Team Ire­land Foun­da­tion is in part­ner­ship with Us-based phi­lan­thropist John Cam­pion and De­clan Bren­nan Sports Man­age­ment. Driv­ers will ben­e­fit from nu­tri­tional, phys­i­cal and psy­cho­log­i­cal sup­port.

Ginetta Ju­nior Ire­land cham­pion Jor­dan Dempsey, North­ern For­mula Ford 1600 cham­pion Jake Byrne and Ginetta Ju­nior Ire­land race win­ner James Roe have been se­lected.

“The pro­gramme we have de­vel­oped for our young, gifted and elite driv­ers is de­signed to bring the best out of the par­tic­i­pants both per­son­ally and com­pet­i­tively,” said Mo­tor­sport Ire­land pres­i­dent Martin Mckenna. “With the sup­port of the foun­da­tion, we are con­fi­dent that our Team Ire­land driv­ers will make great progress and be­come the best that they can be.”
