Scottish Compact Cup champion Dailly to English series
Reigning Scottish BMW Compact Cup champion Steven Dailly will contest the English series this year, continuing with the KC Motorsport team.
The 24-year-old dominated in 2015, winning all 16 races, and will now switch to the English category after deciding against a move to the Ginetta GT5 Challenge.
Dailly said that he didn’t quite have the budget to complete the British GT support category, and will instead learn English tracks in a car he’s familiar with.
“I decided to go and do the English series to get some track knowledge,” he said. “It’s a car we know very well and know exactly what to do with it.
“My target is to win but being realistic, it would be good to get a top three in the championship. I was the most experienced driver in the Scottish Compact Cup so going into the English championship as a new guy will be a tall order.”
