Motorsport Vision Racing will run a standalone race meeting to celebrate Italy’s motorsport heritage at Brands Hatch this summer.

The new Festival Italia event will be run on August 14 at the Kent track and will feature a mixture of races and sprint events, along with Formula 1 demonstrations as well as iconic road and race machines.

The Ferrari Owners’ Club and British Racing and Sports Car Club’s Alfa Romeo Championship will provide most of the racing content and there will also be an outing for historic cars, which will be supported by the BRSCC. MSVR also plan multiple off-track activities, including an Italian market and static displays.

Festival Italia brings MSVR’S schedule of special festival events to seven, including Mini Fest South and North, American Speedfest, Lotus Festival, Masters Historic Festival and Chris Evans’s Carfest event.

MSVR’S David Scott said: “The festivals we run work very well for us. They bring new people to Brands Hatch as they offer a bit more than just a usual race meeting. They are great family events and give people a taste of something different. Italy has a storied motorsport history, so this is a great way to celebrate that.”
