Australian Tyler to BRC with Major
South Australian Rally champion Guy Tyler will join Major Motorsport to compete in the British Rally Championship in 2016.
Tyler – who was one of the finalists for the Vauxhall Motorsport prize drive which is also run by Major Motorsport – will compete in a Ford Fiesta R2 and joins Rhys Pinter and Arron Windus as the third Australian signed up for the championship.
“Ever since meeting the team from Major Motorsport through the Vauxhall application process I knew I wanted to race with them no matter what,” explained Tyler. “Their professionalism, friendliness, and dedication to do the job properly were very evident.”
The 25-year-old will move to the UK and compete on five rounds of the championship, missing only the Circuit of Ireland and Ulster rounds.
“At the moment we are doing five rounds, which is to cut costs and make it possible for us [to come to the UK], but if we find the funds we will definitely be trying to get over to Ireland,” added Tyler
