Anglesey entries boosted for 2016
The Lee Holland Memorial Rally based at Anglesey has received a massive boost in entries having run close to the wire in previous years.
The event – which is part of the new Motorsport News Circuit Rally Championship – had 46 entries last year but the event has 90 crews for this year’s event so far.
Organiser Pendle and District Motor Club’s Rod Brereton said: “We’ve struggled over the years. We’ve always done it off our own backs, along with the best club we’ve ever worked with, the Garstang and Preston Motor Club. Pendle does it but they deserve a lot of credit.
“We had more entries in the first 24 hours than the event got last year, so it has to be a good thing. It’s generated a blinding amount of interest.”
