Renamed historic Jaguar series get prestigious Le Mans Classic slot
A standalone race at the Le Mans Classic in July is the major new date for the renamed Jaguar Classic Challenge for pre-1966 Jaguars.
As well as races at five highprofile historic meetings, the series will have a race at Le Mans on Saturday, July 9, before the start of the 24-hour classic event.
The HSCC series will start at the Donington Historic Festival (April 30-May 2) and take in races at Silverstone (May 21/22), Brands Hatch (July 1-3), the Nurburgring (August 12-14) and Oulton Park (August 27-29).
Tim Hannig of Jaguar Land Rover Classic said: “Jaguar’s wonderful history of racing at Le Mans will add to the spectacle of the Classic Challenge.”
