Aleksander Schjerpen and Sean Byrne will drive the second Century Motorsport Ginetta G55 GT4 in British GT this year.

This will be Schjerpen’s third season with the team but the Norwegian’s first as lead driver and he will be joined by Caterham R300 Superlight graduate Byrne.

“Last year had its ups and down for us, we were unlucky at some of the race weekends, but we had good pace in the car,” said Schjerpen. “Century Motorsport did a great job, and I am very pleased to be able to continue working with them. We started 2016 off winning the SP3 class in the Dubai 24 Hours, now we obviously want to win the British GT championship in 2016.”

Byrne added: “I am looking forward to a more competitive championship this year. It’s a great opportunity to learn a new car and also a new style of racing.”

Team boss Nathan Freke and Anna Walewska will drive the University of Bolton-entered other car.
