Fur­ther in­vest­ment at Don­ing­ton Park

Don­ing­ton Park has in­vested an ad­di­tional £750,000 into cir­cuit im­prove­ments for 2016.

The track has un­der­gone changes at the Mel­bourne GP loop, where a fur­ther 250 me­tres of de­bris fenc­ing has been in­stalled. A new tyre wall has been fit­ted at Hol­ly­wood and the podium has been re­built. There has also been ex­tra pro­tec­tion cre­ated for mar­shals’ posts.

A new spec­ta­tor bank has been com­pleted on the in­field by the Robert’s Chi­cane. Track bosses are also al­ready work­ing on turn­ing the area where the old hos­pi­tal­ity units once stood into a new spec­ta­tor area for 2017.

Don­ing­ton has so far in­vested in ex­cess of £11.5 mil­lion into re­gen­er­at­ing the track since it re­opened in 2010 fol­low­ing its failed Bri­tish Grand Prix bid.
