Cham­pion Slee­man in race come­back

Ex-his­toric FF1600 cham­pion Paul Slee­man plans to race reg­u­larly again in 2016 af­ter com­pet­ing lit­tle in the last decade.

Slee­man has bought a Len­ham Midget and plans to do some twodriver races with John Powis, the se­nior in­struc­tor at Good­wood.

“I did one race three years ago in a Jaguar XJS,” said Slee­man, who won back-to-back His­toric For­mula Ford ti­tles in 1999-2000.

The 1962 car came back from France and is in left-hand drive con­fig­u­ra­tion. It was con­verted into a race car in 1990.

Slee­man hopes to run the car in Guards Tro­phy and Equipe GTS.
