Roy Cath­cart, a pop­u­lar and re­spected mem­ber of the Ir­ish ral­ly­ing com­mu­nity, died re­cently aged 68. Cath­cart, from En­niskillen, ral­lied ex­ten­sively in the 1970s and 1980s and was well known as the owner of ‘LVX 942J’, the Ford Es­cort Mk1 used by Roger Clark to win the 1972 RAC Rally. He pre­vi­ously owned and ral­lied the car in the 1970s.
