Kevin Har­vick fended off Carl Ed­wards to claim vic­tory in the NAS­CAR Sprint Cup at Ari­zona last week­end in one of the clos­est fin­ishes in his­tory. Har­vick, who worked his way through the field hav­ing started 18th, beat Ed­wards by just 0.01s, with Day­tona 500 win­ner Denny Ham­lin in third… Reign­ing Euro­pean For­mula 3 cham­pion Felix Rosen­qvist tri­umphed on his Indy Lights de­but, win­ning the se­cond race in St Peters­burg last week­end. Car­lin driver Felix Ser­ralles won race one… There is set to be a bumper en­try for the Blancpain GT Se­ries Sprint Cup this sea­son, with 38 cars ex­pected to take part in the open­ing round at Misano next month. That com­pares to the 21 that started last sea­son and just 16 en­tries at the fi­nal round. Se­ries boss Stephane Ra­tel be­lieves a re­duc­tion in the size of the cal­en­dar has helped boost take-up… An FIA GT World Cup is set to take place at Ma­cau again in Novem­ber af­ter a suc­cess­ful in­au­gu­ral event last year. In a state­ment fol­low­ing a World Mo­tor Sport Coun­cil meet­ing ear­lier this month, the FIA said: “En­cour­aged by the suc­cess of the first FIA GT World Cup in Ma­cau last Novem­ber, the World Mo­tor Sport Coun­cil ap­proved the GT Com­mis­sion’s pro­posal to re­turn the FIA GT World Cup to the iconic lo­ca­tion of Ma­cau on Novem­ber 19/20.”...
