Ground ef­fect F1 cars of the late 1970s and early 1980s were cel­e­brated with two groups of cars demon­strated. Three-time Indy 500 win­ner Dario Fran­chitti drove the fa­mous twin-chas­sis Lotus 88 ( top), while the Ligier-ma­tra JS17 of Rob Hall ( above), Fer­rari 312T5 (An­drew Wil­lis) and Bobby Ver­don-roe’s Mclaren MP4/1 also starred. Un­of­fi­cially, the quick­est driv­ers also lapped sig­nif­i­cantly faster than the Good­wood lap record…
