Williams’ Pay Symonds believes the business model used by the Haas F1 Team could be harmful for the future of full constructor teams. Haas joined the grid with a technical partnership with Ferrari, running many mass-produced ‘listed parts’. Haas also has access to Ferrari’s windtunnel and latest spec of engine. Symonds said: “The status of being a constructor has gradually eroded, and some would like it completely eroded. What Haas has done is good for him, but I don’t know if it’s the way F1 should be headed.”
