Wilcox returns to GT Cup in Audi R8
Former British GTC champion Adam Wilcox will compete in the GT Cup this year, sharing an Audi R8 LMS Ultra with Nigel Hudson.
The pair made sporadic appearances together last season, contesting the final two rounds and taking a podium finish at Oulton Park. They will return for the full year with the JMH Automotive team running the Audi.
Wilcox lifted the British GTC title in 2004 racing a Ferrari 360 alongside Ni Amorim. Hudson formerly raced in the BRSCC’S Mazda MX-5 Championship. Wilcox will share the car with Hudson for the endurance rounds, with Hudson racing solo in the sprints.
Wilcox said: “I’m looking forward to this year and we’re working on getting Nigel up to speed. He’s enjoying the car, he’s had limited experience having only raced the Mazda but once he’s found his feet he’ll be quick.”
