Hunt celebration for Brands Masters

The life of James Hunt, 40 years after his F1 World Championship title, will be celebrated at the Masters Festival at Brands Hatch on May 28/29.

A demonstration of ex-hunt cars and a display of his trophies will be staged and the winner of Sunday’s FIA Masters Historic Formula One Championship encounter will receive the James Hunt Trophy.

Hunt had his first race and twice won the Race of Champions at Brands.

His son Freddie will be on hand in May. “I’m really thrilled that Masters is remembering my father and his success 40 years ago,” said Hunt Jr. “Brands Hatch was a special place to him.”
