Prize could send marshal to Barbados

-

Organisers of the Circuit of Ireland Rally will offer the chance for a marshal to head to the Americas for the Sol Rally Barbados in June.

Marshals over the age of 17 who sign on at the Circuit of Ireland – a round of this year’s British, Irish Tarmac and European championships – will be automatically entered into the prize draw, where the winner will receive tickets, flights and accommodation for one of the most popular events on the rally calendar, free of charge.

“This prize is our way of recognising the vital work of the volunteers; it does not go unnoticed,” said event director Bobby Willis. “Circuit of Ireland volunteers are the life and soul of the event. Yet again, they have embarked on this year’s planning with their typical enthusiasm and commitment and it is very much appreciated.”

The prize is offered in association with the island’s Tourism Development Commission, and the rally has been increasingly popular with British and Irish crews in recent years.
