Our TV guide is exclusively on tar this week, but not to worry rally fans as you’re catered for too.
The second round of the Irish Tarmac Championship provided a second glimpse of the series’ new rules, which feature R5 cars scoring points at the front as opposed to WRC cars. The rally produced thrilling battles through the field (Thursday, 2100-2200hrs, BT Sport 2).
Back to the circuits and we have a preview and a review on respectively. The World Touring Car Championship gets underway this weekend ( see Live TV) and Eurosport has a preview on offer (Thursday, 1100-1130hrs, Eurosport 1). Will Citroen remain dominant? Can Brit Rob Huff spearhead a Honda title charge? We’ll have to wait and see.
Finally, the 74th Goodwood Members’ Meeting is reviewed. A fleet of Ford GT40S and reigning British Touring Car champion Gordon Shedden in a Rover SD1 show the quality and diversity in equal measure (Thursday, 2100-2200hrs, ITV4).
