Citroen 2017 C3 testing is live in France
Citroen’s 2017 World Rally Car contender – the C3 WRC – has run for the first time.
The car is understood to have undertaken shakedown testing at Citroen’s Satory track on the outskirts of Paris last weekend. Team principal Yves Matton has confirmed to MN that gravel testing will now begin with the car elsewhere in France.
Alex Bengue was scheduled to be the first man in the car, it is not known whether Kris Meeke has driven it – the Dungannon driver was out of contact when MN closed for press on Monday.
The team has confirmed line-ups in Portugal (Meeke, Stephane Lefebvre and Khalid Al Qassimi) and Poland (Craig Breen, News p12, and Lefebvre).
