GT racer Scott to run historics
Successful GT racer Aaron Scott and race engineer Kieran Houldsworth have teamed up to form Akron Sport, a new team operating in Historic F1 and Group C racing.
The outfit, based in Sutton Coldfield, is already preparing two F1 cars and two Group C cars, including those of Irishman Tommy Dreelan. A Williams FW08 and a Porsche 962 are currently with the team.
“We’re looking to take on more historic cars and it makes sense to concentrate on F1 and Group C cars of that era,” said Scott, who also works as the team’s driver coach.
