Andrew Howard was not able to qualify for the British GT race at Brands Hatch due to his European Le Mans Series qualifying demands. Howard was sharing his Aston Martin Vantage GTE with Darren Turner and Alex Macdowall at Silverstone and had planned to qualify and then dash back to Brands to qualify the Vantage GT3 he shared with Ross Gunn. Howard’s timed run in the GTE car came in the wet, so his time wasn’t within the 107 per cent margin. He had to forfeit Brands to do the dry ELMS qualifying session. He won his class in ELMS, and Howard and Gunn raced from the back of the British GT grid to finish fifth on Sunday.
