Younger Neal son joins Mini Challenge
Will Neal, the youngest son of British Touring Car racer Matt, will make his full season debut in the Mini Challenge this weekend.
Neal will take over the Cooper Class car that his elder brother Henry raced in the championship last season. Henry has graduated into the faster F56 JCW class for this season. Both Neals will be run under the family Team Dynamics banner.
Will Neal, who works as an engineer for the BTCC team, said: “I went to Uni so I’m later into racing than Henry was. I almost wish we’d both done it last year as we could have pushed each other on.
“Henry will help me out with learning things and then next year, if he is still in the JCWS, I will be there too. I’ve done a few Scottish Legends races before and then I went to work on V8 Supercars in Australia.
“My ambition is to make it into the BTCC one day, but right now I just want to get out on track and finish some races and learn as I go.”
